Burton's Chill Program at Snow Valley
Chill is a non profit, learn to ride board sports program for at risk kids.

Chill works in communities with agencies that serve youth who are challenged by a multitude of issues. Some live in group homes and foster care, some are drug or alcohol addicted, some come from the juvenile justice system, and some deal daily with violence, excessive anger, depression, and feelings of worthlessness.

Jake and Donna Burton founded Chill in 1995 in their hometown of Burlington, Vermont to bring snowboarding to kids who otherwise wouldn't have the opportunity. Chill had and continues to have an immediate and profound impact on the youth and the communities they work with.

Former Snow Valley Racer Patrick Wright wins Europa Cup

Wright, a 21-year-old product of Snow Valley, won the race in a time of two minutes 14.26 seconds to win by more than a second.

Wright, who was second in the Northwest Mutual Funds Coupe Nor-Am Cup downhill in Lake Louise earlier this season, was racing in the first Europa Cup competition of his career.

2007-2008 Season is off to a Great Start!
Saturday December 1st. marked the start of this years ski & snowboard season. With mid-winter temperatures, a little fresh powder over night and hard work from our groomer's & snowmaker's, conditions were just great. Check out some recent photos.

Snow Valley Donates to Local Charities

With proceeds from the 20th annual M*A*S*H BASH event Snow Valley has now raised over $350,000 for the Simcoe-Muskoka Regional Cancer Center

Snow Valley donates $3,100 to Ronald McDonald House to help children with serious illnesses or disabilities, and their families, lead happier and healthier lives. 

Second Magic Carpet Lift for Kidz Village
To compliment last years Kidz Village area expansion we have begun construction on a second carpet conveyor lift. This new lift will make the most of the new larger Kidz Village area and allow us to better serve our littlest guests.

Relay for Life
It was a celebration of survival and a tribute to the lives of loved ones who have been touched by cancer!

Twelve hours of fun (although a little chilly), friendship and fundraising to beat cancer was the theme of the evening.
The Snow Valley Relay for Life Team contributed to the raising of over $215,000 for the fight against cancer at the Barrie Relay for Life.

Snow Valley Wins the Pontiac Torrent Raffle Draw
Marie-Claude Ravenelle, the Race Administrator at Snow Valley is this years lucky winner!

The winning ticket for the 2007 Pontiac Torrent Raffle was drawn Sunday afternoon on the Craigleith Ski Club deck during the AOSD Awards. With the vehicle front and centre over 500 AOSD members were busy buying last minute tickets with a chance to drive home the sparkling Torrent.

AOA President contacted Marie-Claude Sunday evening with the exciting news. Alpine Ontario will be delivering the vehicle soon to Snow Valley.

All proceeds from the Pontiac Raffle support AOA alpine programs - thank you for your support.

Mother Nature came through for us this year and provided a great day for M*A*S*H Bash! A huge thank-you to everyone who came out and supported a great cause. Former Snow Valley Racer named to Canada's National Development Team

Patrick Wright grew up tearing up the slopes of Snow Valley through the Nancy Greene and Mackenzie Racing Leagues. After 11 years of learning the fundamentals at Snow Valley, Patrick spent 4 years on the Huronia Alpine Development Team(HADT) refining his skills. Patrick went on to two stellar years with the Ontario Alpine Team, and this spring has been selected to Canada's National Development Team. With Patrick's desire and fortitude we expect him to be flying the Snow Valley colours at the 2010 Vancouver Olympics.

Snow Valley's SCI coupon folders are an excellent fundraising device for schools, clubs and other community organizations. Each folder has more than $60 worth of FREE tickets, and rentals, plus more than $300 in Two for One offers from Snow Valley, McDonald's, Stinson Theatres, and Boston Pizza in Barrie. Salomon Demo Centre

Snow Valley is proud to be the Ontario Salomon Demo Centre. Try out the latest skis, snowboard's, and snow toys, including the original SnowBlades and the fantastic Salomon Crossmax skis. All demo's are available to try for just $7.00 per hour.

Snowshoe Trails 5 km of marked snowshoe trails will be available this season. Snowshoe and pole rentals will be available from the Snow Tubing chalet.
