What it is: The Toronto Chill
Shred-a-Thon is an event to generate support for the The Chill Foundation.
Come out with your friends and ride to help bring the snowboarding
experience to underserved local youth.
Like a walk-a-thon, participants will count the MOUNTAIN LAPS they ski or snowboard that day (up the chairlift and down the hill once = 1 lap). Their sponsors donate a dollar amount per lap, or a predetermined flat amount of their choice.
Prizes from Burton Snowboards will be going to the top fundraisers and the riders with the most laps!
100% of the funding will go to the Toronto Chill program to benefit local youth.
What does it cost: Lift tickets for participants have been discounted to $20 per rider once you raise $20. It's a day on the mountain for 50% off AND it's for a good cause! Raise $100 and you get to ride for FREE!
When it is: Sunday, March 18 at 10:00am, participants will begin to shred! The cut-off time will be at 3:00 pm, with award presentations and snacks to follow until 4:00 pm.
