As exciting as this week's snow is it doesn't mean we are able to open. We are just as excited as everyone else who loves the great outdoors in winter! The season's first real snowfall is fantastic to see, however this snow doesn't do much for our opening plans. The temperatures and humidity are not allowing us to make snow just yet. As we all know Mother Nature is the ultimate decision maker. This also means that the hill is closed to the public - you are trespassing if you access the hills or trails.
The long-range winter season forecast looks promising, but the shorter range forecast (the next couple of weeks) is not as rosy. We are cautiously optimistic that we may get some ski & snowboard terrain open for the weekend of December 18th. Again, this will all depend on Mother Nature.
Ski & Snowboard: The goal this year will be to open with 2 chairlifts and multiple runs to allow for safe distancing and meet current health regulations. Until we can get additional runs and lifts operational, we will not be selling daily lift tickets. We will be opening and allowing passholder access only. When we are satisfied that we can offer daily lift tickets for sale they will be posted and available for sale online only, 48h hours prior to opening.
Snow Tubing: We will do our best to get Ontario's Best Snow Tubing park up and operational just as soon as possible. Daily snow tubing tickets will be released and available for purchase online only 48 hours prior to us opening the snow tube park.
You must plan ahead and can not arrive to Snow Valley with out having prepurchased your activity. You will be turned away and asked to please purchase and plan ahead! Please ensure you have visited, read and understood all of our Covid Operational Plans - you do not want to be surprised and disappointed!
