Start Time: 8:30AM
Location: Snow Valley
The day begins at 8:30am and goes until 1:30pm on
Saturday March 16. Meet at the Snow Valley Patrol
Operations Centre. We'll provide a bar-be-que
lunch.
Are you an enthusiastic skier or snowboarder? Would you like
to contribute to the sporting community you and your family
enjoy? Do you enjoy helping others? Are you looking for
opportunities to volunteer your skills? If yes, the Snow
Valley Ski Patrol is interested in meeting you. In
cooperation with Snow Valley Resort, we are hosting our Ski With A
Patroller Day. This is a day for you to join us on the
slopes and experience how we interact with resort guests and
staff. We'll demonstrate some of our techniques and
you'll learn about the training required, benefits and
commitments of becoming a certified patroller.
Snow Valley Ski Patrol provides first aid services to Snow Valley
resort as an integral part of the Canadian Ski Patrol System.
CSPS is Canada's leader in certifying ski patrollers and advanced
first aid personnel for on-snow resort partners. The Canadian
Ski Patrol System membership is 5,000 volunteers strong and
offering services to over 220 ski areas from coast to coast,
including alpine and Nordic. CSPS is a non-profit, charitable
organization that continues to adhere to the mandate of excellence
in "safety, injury prevention and service" that our founder, Dr.
Firth, instilled more than 70 years ago.
What better way to REALLY experience what it's like to be involved
with the Snow Valley Ski Patrol l than to spend the day with a
patroller and our Snow Valley Ski Patrol team? If you're
interested, please send us an email at info@SVSP.ca to reserve your
spot.
