Job Summary
We are hiring a Seasonal Duty Manager to lead daily resort operations during our winter season. This hands-on role supports the safe and efficient running of the resort during opening or closing shifts. You’ll oversee multiple departments (including Lift Operations, Guest Services, Rentals, Tube Park, and more), respond to guest needs and incidents, and act as the senior leader on-site.
What You’ll Do
Daily Resort Operations
- Open or close the resort during assigned shifts (rotating early mornings or evenings).
- Supervise resort-wide activities including lifts, food & beverage, rentals, and guest flow.
- Conduct daily site inspections for safety, cleanliness, and operational readiness.
Guest Service & Incident Response
- Act as the primary contact for guest questions, complaints, and safety concerns.
- Lead response to incidents and complete all required documentation.
- Monitor high-traffic areas like the Tube Park and Zipline for service and safety issues.
Team Coordination
- Support frontline staff and supervisors across departments.
- Reallocate resources during peak times and maintain effective communication between teams.
- Mentor team members and promote a positive work culture.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of supervisory experience (10+ staff) in recreation, hospitality, or operations
- Standard First Aid & CPR-C
- Smart Serve Ontario
- Valid G-Class Driver’s License
- Ability to work outdoors in cold winter conditions.
- Able to lift up to 25 kg and work on your feet for extended periods.
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Assets
- WHMIS & AODA awareness
- Radio/dispatch familiarity & incident reporting experience
- Snowmobile or UTV operation experience
Schedule & Work Environment
- Rotating weekly shifts: 6:00 AM–2:00 PM (open) or 2:00 PM–10:30 PM (close)
- Must be available all season: October to March
- Work is primarily outdoors in variable winter weather conditions.
