Not arriving by bus? Please have a rendezvous area with your students & parent helpers in the parking lot.
A signed copy of Snow Valley Consent form for all students MUST BE sent back to Snow Valley prior to arrival date.

Tickets
Teacher/supervisor: Proceed to the Snow School Desk in the main lobby with the Confirmation Sheet to obtain tickets. Students must affix their lift tickets before departing the bus.

Departing the Bus
School groups enter the chalet as a group using the School/Group Entrance. Schools not arriving by bus affix lift tickets prior to entering the rental area as a group with their school coordinators. Non-renters, please leave equipment outside.
Rental Shop
Schools will be grouped into 25 students to proceed through the rental process with designated time slots. Snow Valley staff and teachers/supervisors take students renting equipment to the Guest Service area for instruction and a short explanation of the rental procedure before getting equipment. Students renting will need to know their weight/height/age. Assign Teacher/Supervisor to equipment sign-out desks to record equipment rentals. They’ll require your Rental Lists. Please assign one teacher to record rental equipment numbers for every 10-25 students.
Personal Effects
Coin lockers and storage bunks are in the rental shop. We highly recommend storing valuable materials, including expensive shoes, in our coin lockers. Snow Valley is not responsible for any missing personal effects.
Stripe Testing & Lessons
Skiers and Snowboarders take a “Stripe Test.” Beginner students start lessons immediately after leaving the rental shop. Novice to Advanced students are informed of lesson times and meeting places on the bus and at the “Stripe Test.”
Teachers and On Hill Supervisors need to sign the Exclusion of Liability-Assumption of Risk form at the Snow School Desk to receive an Orange Stripe.

The teacher or supervisor should proceed to the Ticket Counter in the Tubing Chalet with the Confirmation Sheet and copies of the Snow Valley Consent forms to obtain tickets. Students must affix their lift tickets before departing the bus.
Departing the Bus
School groups enter the chalet as a group.
Schools not arriving by bus must affix lift tickets before watching the safety video as a group.
Procedure & Safety Video
Snow Valley Staff will share information with students and staff as a group. They will also view a short safety video.
Helmets
Schools requiring helmets for tubing will be fitted with helmets by our staff.
Snowshoe Rentals
Snow Valley staff will escort students to the snowshoe rental area to be fitted for their snowshoes.
Personal Effects
A limited number of coin lockers are available. Snow Valley is not responsible for any missing personal effects.
Geocaching
Snow Valley Staff will provide kits and a tutorial on our educational program.

Assign teacher/volunteer helpers to the BOOT ROOM to assist students with putting on their boots and stashing their belongings in cubbies.
After students exit rentals, Snow School staff will help direct students to LESSONS or the STRIPE TEST after they exit rentals.
Teachers and on-hill volunteers will read the Exclusion of Liability and sign for their ORANGE STRIPE at the Snow School Desk. This stripe will allow them on all lifts.
After your whole school exits rentals, you must SETTLE YOUR ACCOUNT. The school coordinator will go to the Snow School Desk with any unused/damaged tickets and the final tallies of students, teachers, ski rentals, and snowboard rentals.

Beginner Skiers: Adventure Centre * 9:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Beginner Snowboarders: Ride Centre * 9:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Stripe Test: Hard Knox * 9:00 AM (for experienced skiers and riders only)
Blue Stripe Test: Top of Family Hill * 12:30 PM to 1:15 PM (for anyone who achieved a green stripe in the morning and would like to try for their blue stripe)
Intermediate Skiers and Snowboarders: Snow School Bell * 12:30 PM and 1:30 PM
Purple Stripe: Snow School Bell * 10:30 AM, 11:30a AM, 1:00 PM (Terrain Park access must be granted by the school, must have achieved Blue stripe at morning stripe test)
The End of Your Visit
All rentals are returned using the Rental EXIT/ENTRANCE door.
Assign one or two teachers/volunteers to assist students in the boot room and ensure they collect all their belongings.
Assign one or two teachers/volunteers to pick up your school’s rental forms approximately 20 minutes before scheduled time off the hill and sign out students on their way out of the boot room. When complete, please leave the rental forms with our rental staff.
Select an area for students to wait until it is time to board the bus.

It is of the utmost importance that students listen to and follow our safety protocols and guidelines, which are provided by our staff. We want everyone to have a safe and enjoyable visit!
Ensure your students know the locations of our washrooms (lower level to the left of the Main Entrance and 2nd floor across Duffy’s Lounge) and any designated meeting spots you may have set for them.
Ensure your students know where to find a representative from your school. We recommend having someone available inside, upstairs in the Main Chalet.
Boot rentals: the first number on the boot is the shoe size
Renters: keep their outside footwear and bags in their boot rental cubby
No hats are to be worn under rental helmets
No equipment is allowed in the chalet. If students take a break or are in for lunch, they can leave their skis, poles, or boards in the racks around the chalet.
There are coin lockers available for valuables – $2 per entry
Our helpful Hill Rangers are out touring the hills if students require assistance or directions
If you require Ski Patrol, they can be contacted by a Lift Attendant, our Boutique, Snow School Desk or Information Desk
Lunch areas: students are welcome to eat lunch in our Picnic Room on the lower level or in the Alpine Room or Family Lounge on the 2nd floor
Students wanting to switch activities during their school visit are not allowed to do so.
The Informed Consent forms signed by the student’s parent or guardian are valid only for the activity selected.
