Outdoor Standards Attendant
OPERATIONS DEPARTMENT
Position Type: Seasonal, Part Time & Full Time
Hours of Work: Variable, midweek days, weekends, evenings, holidays
Rate: $16.60 – $17.60/hr
Term: End of November to End of March
The Outdoor Standards Attendant is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and safety of the outdoor areas of Snow Valley.
The worker will be required to perform a variety of tasks, including snow removal, surface evaluation, loading firewood, de-littering around buildings and parking lots, and changing garbage receptacles.
Work Environment: The Outdoor Standards Attendant will work primarily outdoors in all weather conditions. The worker will be exposed to cold temperatures, snow, ice, wind, rain, and other environmental factors. A uniform will be provided.
Essential Job Duties
Shovelling walkways, emergency exits, stairs and pathways to ensure safe passage for guests.
Evaluating walking surfaces regularly and applying traction material and/or ice melt to prevent slips and falls.
Loading firewood into designated areas to ensure guests have access to warmth.
Regulating and constantly de-littering around buildings and parking lots to maintain a clean environment.
Regularly and consistently changing garbage receptacles to ensure cleanliness.
Qualifications and Experience
- Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to work independently or as part of a team.
- Must have excellent communication skills.
- Must be able to follow instructions and adhere to safety guidelines.
