Position Type: Weekends full-time seasonal & part-time seasonal
Salary: Starting at $18/hour
The Outdoor Standards Team Leader is responsible for leading a team of outdoor standards workers to maintain the cleanliness and safety of the outdoor areas of Snow Valley.
The team leader will be required to perform a variety of tasks, including snow removal, surface evaluation, loading firewood, de-littering around buildings and parking lots, and changing garbage receptacles.
The team leader will also be responsible for ensuring that all team members are following safety guidelines and adhering to company policies.
Work Environment: The Outdoor Standards Team Leader will work primarily outdoors in all weather conditions. The team leader will be exposed to cold temperatures, snow, ice, wind, rain, and other environmental factors. A uniform will be provided.
Essential Job Duties
Leading a team of outdoor standards workers to ensure that all tasks are completed in a timely and efficient manner.
Shovelling walkways, emergency exits, stairs and pathways to ensure safe passage for guests.
Evaluating walking surfaces regularly and applying traction material and/or ice melt to prevent slips and falls.
Loading firewood into designated areas to ensure guests have access to warmth.
Regulating and constantly de-littering around buildings and parking lots to maintain a clean environment.
Regularly and consistently changing garbage receptacles to ensure cleanliness.
Qualifications and Experience
- G-class driver’s license preferred.
- Experienced/mature person preferred with the ability to lead a crew of young workers.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Experience operating snow removal equipment, including walk-behind and riding snowblower.
- A strong knowledge of risk management.
- Basic record-keeping skills.
