Hours of Work: Variable, midweek days, weekends, evenings, holidays
Rate: $18.85 – $27.20/hr depending on certifications and supervisor experience
Term: Mid November to end of March
Job Overview:
We are seeking enthusiastic, reliable, personable, guest-focused and safety-conscious individuals with outstanding leadership and communication skills. Responsibilities of the Snow School Team Leader include maintaining a safe and fun environment for guests and staff, training staff, leading a team, delegating lessons, scheduling, payroll, guest interaction, ensuring resort policies and procedures are upheld, and supporting fellow resort supervisors and the Snow School Manager. This is an exciting, fast-paced position with ongoing training opportunities, job support and room to grow.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Candidates must have at least five years of Snow School, resort or similar experience.
- Candidates must have a high level of skiing and/or snowboarding skills; CSIA, CASI or ACA-CSC certification is preferred.
- Ability to present and communicate in a professional manner.
- Ability to guide and mentor staff and address performance shortfalls when they occur.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organization and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Proficiency with Windows and Microsoft applications.
- Must be detail-oriented and responsible.
- Successful applicants must provide a Vulnerable Sector Check.
