snowshoeTrail

Winter doesn’t have to be about rushing from run to run. Sometimes, the best moments happen when you slow down.

Our new Interpretive Snowshoe Trail Experience offers a different way to enjoy the season. Set along an easy to moderate forest trail, this self guided experience takes you through wetlands, cedar stands, and quiet corners of the valley that often go unnoticed. Along the way, interpretive panels invite you to pause and look a little closer at how water moves through the land, how trees stay connected underground, and how plants and wildlife adapt to winter conditions.

You might find yourself standing beside a creek that never fully freezes, listening for chickadees in the trees, or walking through a cedar grove that feels calm and timeless. The trail unfolds at your pace, creating space to learn, reflect, and simply enjoy being outside.

Spending time outdoors in winter has real benefits. Gentle movement like snowshoeing helps keep bodies active, boosts mood, and offers a refreshing break from screens and indoor routines. The quieter pace of winter also encourages mindfulness, helping us reconnect with nature and with each other.

Whether you’re visiting with family, bringing a school group, or looking for a peaceful winter walk, the Interpretive Snowshoe Trail is an invitation to experience Snow Valley in a more thoughtful way.

Snowshoes on. Curiosity encouraged.
