Job Overview:
Snow Valley’s Lift Operations Department is seeking a highly motivated, team-oriented individual for the seasonal position of Lift Operations Supervisor. This position includes evening and weekend shifts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with employee recruitment including attending job fairs, conducting staff interviews, and completion of all onboarding paperwork
- Supervise all Lift and parking lot staff and outdoor activities daily including scheduling and attendance records
- Ensure Snow Valley Health & Safety policies, MOL and OHSA standards are maintained
- Respond to calls for assistance, customer service, staff, and emergencies
- Work under the direction of the Lift Operations Manager and Duty Manager
- Operation of snowmobiles and all-terrain vehicles
Requirements:
- Excellent verbal communication skills and strong interpersonal skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- 5+ years proven supervisory experience especially with young adults and students
- Ability to relate to all ages, students, young adults, and seasoned retirees
- Ability to work outdoors in a variety of winter weather conditions
- Ability to work evenings and weekends
- Comfortable in public speaking roles and use of 2-way communication radios
- Knowledge of the Employment Standards Act, WSIB, the Ontario Occupational Health and Safety Act
- Computer literacy in a Windows environment utilizing Microsoft Office applications
