Hours of Work: Variable, midweek days, weekends, evenings, holidays

Term: End of November to End of March 

Job Overview:

Snow Valley’s Lift Operations Department is seeking a highly motivated, team-oriented individual for the seasonal position of Lift Operations Supervisor. This position includes evening and weekend shifts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with employee recruitment including attending job fairs, conducting staff interviews, and completion of all onboarding paperwork
  • Supervise all Lift and parking lot staff and outdoor activities daily including scheduling and attendance records
  • Ensure Snow Valley Health & Safety policies, MOL and OHSA standards are maintained
  • Respond to calls for assistance, customer service, staff, and emergencies
  • Work under the direction of the Lift Operations Manager and Duty Manager
  • Operation of snowmobiles and all-terrain vehicles

Requirements:

  • Excellent verbal communication skills and strong interpersonal skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • 5+ years proven supervisory experience especially with young adults and students
  • Ability to relate to all ages, students, young adults, and seasoned retirees
  • Ability to work outdoors in a variety of winter weather conditions
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends
  • Comfortable in public speaking roles and use of 2-way communication radios
  • Knowledge of the Employment Standards Act, WSIB, the Ontario Occupational Health and Safety Act
  • Computer literacy in a Windows environment utilizing Microsoft Office applications
