Rental Shop Technician

Position Type: Seasonal, Part Time & Full Time
Hours of Work: Variable, midweek days, weekends, evenings, holidays
Term: End of November to End of March
Job Overview:
Maintain our rental equipment such as skis, snowboards, boots, helmets, and bindings. Ensure the gear meets quality standards while providing excellent customer service. You will also assist guests with their own equipment for maintenance, repairs and advice.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and tune skis and snowboards.
- Repair equipment and fit bindings and boots.
- Wax and sharpen edges for various conditions.
- Perform seasonal maintenance on rental gear.
- Inspect and prepare guest equipment for repairs.
- Keep the workspace organized, clean and safe.
- Assist the rental shop team to fit and return equipment
- Train new staff as needed.
- Assist with outdoor tasks like shoveling, garbage removal, and equipment returns.
Requirements:
- Experience in a ski shop technician role.
- Focus on quality work and customer satisfaction.
- Strong communication skills and a positive attitude.
- Mechanical aptitude and knowledge of industry trends.
- Familiarity with POS systems is a plus.
- Ability to multitask and work independently.
- Good customer service and teamwork.
- Focus on a high level of Health and Safety
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs. & stand for long periods of time.
- Available to work weekends & holidays.
