Pamela Disera:

So I’m working on a skill known as side slipping.

Why I’m doing this is I found the sweet spot of the skis. I’m nicely balanced, standing over top of the skis, and anytime I want to stop, I just roll my legs up the hill. I tip feet and knees up the hill.

Watch again. I just roll them up the hill and I’ve stopped to side slip though I need to be centered. Tall, relaxed, looking down the hill, and again, I want to stop. I roll them up.

That’s all I have to do, so I’m standing on the sweet spot. All that means is I’m centered. I’m nice and tall. My hands are out in front. I’m side slipping. To stop again, just roll both feet up the hill, roll the knees in side.

Slipping is a great skill to learn.

I look forward to meeting you on the slopes. From Snow Valley, I’m Pamela Deera.
