Pamela Disera:
I love skiing with my little friends. And today, Gordy and I are going to tackle the Adventure Learning Center.
If you’re taking a little one down the hill that needs assistance, here’s a few tips.
Give them your poles, but the handle end.
So Gordy, hang onto those poles. We’re going to scooch forward, and then I want you to brush your heels out to make that wedge.
So Gordy’s not leaning on the poles. They’re only there for support. I’m only guiding him down.
Try again, brush your heels out and make that wedge, brush your heels out. Excellent. As he becomes more comfortable and confident with this maneuver and able to stop by himself, I can take the poles away.
So Gordy, show me a big snowplow, show me a big wedge, and I’m going to take the poles away, but they’re here to catch him if need.
Be sure to let the instructor know about your ski date and how great your little one’s doing.
I look forward to meeting you on the slopes
