Pamela Disera:

Steer both feet to turn your skis in the direction that you want to go. And how we do that is we have to understand how we steer.

First of all, look it, I’ve lifted my leg, it’s long, and I’m steering from my foot right into my hip socket. Same thing when we ski.

If I’m too low, it’s too hard to steer. So think of your arm as your leg and your hand as your foot. Look how easy that is.

Now, try bending your elbow and steering not so easy. Follow me. Watch my feet as I’m just steering them in the direction I want to go from the foot to the hip. Steer steer.

So I’m nice and balanced and I’m just steering the foot, a strong steering sensation. It’s just steering both feet in the direction that you want to go from the foot to the hip.

I look forward to meeting you on the slopes.

From Snow Valley, I’m Pamela Disera.
