Uphill ski downhill ski, inside ski. Outside ski.

What ski am I supposed to be standing on?

Well, let me show you. You need to be over top of the downhill ski.

Notice. My shoulders are parallel to the slope. I’m standing over top of the downhill ski and my hands are out slightly.

Look what I can do with my legs. Then I can move freely and I will get a little bit of ski performance. Now if I’m on the uphill ski, I can’t move like that. I’m pulling away and my skis always going to slide out. It’s not very stable.

So again, on top of the downhill ski hands, slightly forward upper body facing down the hill, and look at my body over top of that downhill ski.

That’s the ski I’m supposed to be standing on for balance control and ski performance.

I look forward to meeting you on the slopes

From Snow Valley, I’m Pamela Disera.
